Jack and the Early Motherhood Photo Project, Part II

As promised, below you will find a second collection of images from Jack and Ann's April 28th photo shoot for Marchet Butler's Early Motherhood Photo Project. We were really fortunate to get so many good, professional pictures of Jack at such a young age – even if he is clearly an unhappy model in some of them – and some great pictures of Ann as a new mom.

We'd also like to thank everyone who has visited Poor Martin to check out the new kid. Since we announced his birth, 1,256 unique visits have been made to this blog – 175 unique visits in the first 24 hours after the first Jack-related posting! We're also greatly amused that the second-highest peak in site traffic was in response to our Cinco de Mayo posting. Pretty soon Jack will top our previously most-popular posting.

Enjoy the new pics!

Happy Cinco de Mayo!

In a shameless attempt to both amuse ourselves and embarrass Jack, we celebrated Cinco de Quatro (yes, we know) with a juvenile, Corona-themed baby photo shoot. These photos were taken as much in memory of our own childhood pictures, posed with beer bottles and cans, as in the hopes of humorously documenting Jack's first holiday.

One note of special importance: The kickin' lime hat Jack is sporting was made by our great friend Amy. In the past, she has made blueberry and strawberry hats for other newborns but, not knowing Jack's sex until he was born, opted for this wonderful lime-green knit. We love it! And hopefully you'll agree that it goes great with a Corona.

Happy Cinco de Mayo!
